I don't want to watch the news anymore

What the hell is going on with things today??? I am sure that all the anti-Halloween types out there are just freaking out over it, but look at the news (which I have been trying very hard not to do). So far today I have heard of two different cases involving children and injury/death. One was a boy attacking his brother with a knife, the other a mother leaving her baby in the car all day. I hate watching the news because of things like this on it. Senseless harm to innocents that should have been protected above all else.
