Take a trip around the world this Christmas, and never even leave home

Talking about the dolls from around the world in the last post has me thinking that this Christmas is a good time to spend some time touring around the virtual world learning about celebrations all over the planet and what people do to celebrate the season and maybe even what the history behind those celebrations is.

Even if all you do is take a virtual trip looking to find out what the history of some of your favorite traditions is. Where did the Yule log originate? What is the history of the Christmas tree? Why are presents wrapped up and placed underneath the tree? Where were they placed before the tree came around?

This is a good thing to pair up with the tracking Santa using NORAD that I had talked about in an earlier post.
