The leaders are out of White Mountain, Lance Mackey took off almost an hour ahead of Jeff King this afternoon, but according to the Iditarod blog on Northern Light Media the Daily News was reporting that one of Lance's leaders, Larry, has an infected foot.
It is interesting to watch them on the GPS, at the moment Jeff King is showing as way off one side and then the other of the trail - I mean way off, miles and miles off. Apparently the GPS is having a glitch with it there. Might be as close as the race is to the end there are just soo many people logging in to see where the leaders are, I don't know how that stuff works though, so don't know if that would have an affect on it showing in right spot on map - don't think it would.
I'm following the updates on Twitter and they noticed it too.
I love all the ways to watch the race this year, it's so kewl!
