Summer means renovations and additions

I have been looking at the amount of wear that the carpeting in the living room has undergone, particularly after the wear and tear of winter boots tromping over it and tracking in sand and things for the ice outside. It is well past time to tear it up and replace it. My mom was thinking a new rug, I have been leaning toward hardwood or tile flooring with area rugs.

We also have to get the things to redo the kitchen and make a floor in the dining room that I am hoping we can get built this year. It would be nice to get a chance to tour one of those directbuy showrooms, but they don't have them in Alaska and DirectBuy does not do Internet orders. Maybe someone will decide to build one up here by the time we are ready to build the front porch, sitting room and music room.

I think we're going ot go for a Winchester Mansion effect, lol, always building a little here and a little there.
