Google Maps Street View adds a new level to Virtual Tourism

Google Maps has added a new level to being a virtual tourist with their "Street View" feature. Now virtual tourists can enter their destination using search criteria such as "Golden Gate Bridge" and when the map comes up click on the "Street View" button. This will bring up a small camera icon or a person figure and highlight certain streets in blue. The virtual tourist then places the little person figure on the blue streets and a popup window will give you a street level view of the area, letting you take a virtual drive along the streets.

I found it interesting when I was looking at the Anchorage and Denver street views to use my mouse to move the camera view down until I could see the car that the camera was strapped to the top of.
