Winter is nearly here, time to look at boots

As summer is coming to an end here in Alaska, I am thinking that getting out and going to Hawaii is a good idea. I am so not ready for the snows of winter to close in and blanket the yard with icy cold. It does not help that my winter boots have seen much better days. I was looking at them in the basement last month, they're a bit worse for the wear. I do have a pair that I got, of all places, in Las Vegas, but they have a rather high heel on them and I don't care for boots with heels.

This lead me to investigating the boots that Blowfish Shoes has on their website. They have a rather nice looking boot called the Coastline that is made with suede uppers. It looks like it could be a good cold weather boot in the warmer months of winter. There seems to be a fairly good selection of Blowfish Women's Shoes to choose from, but I think my personal favorite is their black La Villa sandal. I don't like the way most sandals pull away from my heel, so the heel cup on the La Villa makes it look like the sort of sandal I could wear comfortably.

Blowfish seems to have mostly styles that are tailored to women, but there are some nice looking Blowfish Men's Shoes as well, such as the Squaw moccasin. Yes, yes, I know it is named "Squaw", but it looks a lot more like a man's style than a woman's style to me. As do the clogs like the Redwood and Carbon Beach.

I think I just like the fact that they have leather shoes. No matter how trendy it is to wear fake leather, I have never been able to stand having something that was not real leather on my feet.
