Alaska State Fair

The Alaska State Fair is in full swing over in Palmer this week. I did not get a chance to enter anything in the fair this year, which is rather disappointing, but the year just seems to have gone by so dang fast and when I realized the fair was closing in on me I decided that it really was not worth the cost it would be in gas for me to take something over there to enter in the fair. Would have cost roughly $40 worth of gas to take something over there, then I would have to spend roughly $40 for gas to go back and pick it up after the fair, and then you add in if I wanted to actually get over there and see the thing while the fair was up and going and it just does not make sense to be entering an item that at most would get a $6 prize if it took top honors and all that jazz. So, as disappointing as it is not to get something entered in the fair, I'm not 100% broken hearted about it.
