I'm sitting here watching Headline News and they are talking about the gas crisis in the South and the money crisis in California. My friend, who lives just outside Atlanta, called me the other day from the gas lines. We talked for a bit about how she and her nephew had been trying to get gas and about the gas crisis back in the 70's when I can remember sitting in the back of my parent's car as they crept slowly along toward the gas pumps to get a little gas for the car.
In California there seems to be a need of $7b, that's seven billion dollars, for them to pay stuff like police, teachers, and state funded senior housing. Between the gas crisis in the South and the housing crisis (oh man do I know about that one), and now California needing $7 billion to pay their state workers.... It seems like money is tight everywhere.
