Browsing around looking for pictures of Alaska I found the boat of Joe Reddington Sr, over at SXC. Much thanks to Webmusher for such a great shot of the old boat. This boat is resting on the flats out along the Knik-Goose Bay road. Joe Reddington is best known as being the Father of the Iditarod (Yes, that race you probably watch on Discovery right now). I'm not sure what the full history of this boat is, but I do know it is one of those things that has just sort of come to be a landmark to those in Alaska that know who's it was.
