Looking at the map over at Google Maps for my Ultimate Road Trip, the nest stop I can think of would be Sutton. That's North from Palmer along the Glenn Highway, highway 1, and is not a place we normally stop at when we are headed in or out of Alaska.
We have been out to the Sutton area exploring the countryside, however, so I think it would be kewl to stop in and do some looking around in the places we had gone to. Get some exploring in and stretch both my legs and the dog's legs before we hit the road and drive for six+ hours to the next stop.
I'm going to look more into what's to be seen around Sutton, then I'll add that in as a stop on the official trip map.
