As part of the OOAK artist dolls that I have been working on, I have been seriously considering making some of those reborns, where you take baby dolls and give them new life as a collectors doll. Me and mom had been considering this before, we even have a little bassinet style baby grip in the basement that just needs some pretty crib bedding to make it the perfect display piece for OOAK artist baby dolls.
I also have a book on how to build a doll without a base or molds to start from, and I have been putting serious thought into creating a few OOAK artist dolls that way just to see if I can do them justice. It's not easy being a perfectionist, but I am, so I never really am satisfied that a project is right.
