Wednesday Where Am I?

For the first Wednesday Where Am I? I am going to stick close to home and give you a clue for something here in Alaska.

It is a well known landmark to those who have been there or live in the area. It is also well known to most if not all of the people living in Alaska or who have watched Alaska's greatest sport on television.

It marks the end of the trail.

Any more clues than that and I might as well tell you exactly what I am talking about. Anyone want to make a guess what it is and where it is? I'll let you know next Wednesday.
