Digital Radio

I have been looking at those nifty iPod docking deals that pick up HD Radio, while I would love to get one like the Polk Audio I-sonic ES2, I don't think I could afford it. There are, however, some that are in my price range according to the Buyer's Guide at HD Radio. I found one nice looking table top docking station by Jensen in the under $50 range. What good is having a digital radio receiver if you do not know what stations to tune in to? You can use HD Radio's search page to locate local radio stations that broadcast in digital.

To search for a station near you you just select the state you want from their map - say you want to find Florida radio stations, then you can select Florida from the drop down menu, or click on the state in the map.

Now, to find the music you like, maybe you are looking for new country music stations in Florida? Click on "format" in the menu across the top of the listings. Scroll down and you will find over a dozen stations in Florida that are listed as having a country format.

I think this would be particularly great for anyone that is planning to travel, since you can search the areas you know you will be going to and find digital radio stations with formats that you enjoy listening to.
