Earthquake shakes up Alaska

Shepard Smith of Fox News is getting me into soooo much trouble. LOL!! Okay, first off, to my friends and their families - Dad and I are fine!!!

Now, This morning I was being lazy laying around in bed and was jolted awake at 11:28 a.m. Alaska time by a fairly good jolting that lasted about 3-5 seconds I'd guess. I've only felt one of the aftershocks so far, but that first jolt did land one of dad's porcelain Eagles on his bed with him. Small 10" one that had been on shelf behind the bed. Thankfully hit by knees, not head -- we never put stuff at heads of beds because of the quakes. LOL!

Shepard Smith had broke in on news commercial break saying that there was a few minutes (he corrected to moments) long quake sending people diving under desks and into doorways - I could just see my friends all going into hyper "Is Sandy okay?" modes. LOL

Neil Cavuto was talking to Lee Iacocca about the new Mustangs (45 new 'Iacocca' Mustangs being released for 45th anniversary, $60,000 each. They're Fords, so of course you can have any color you want as long as it's silver.) anyway, he made the observation that the last time Alaska had a significant quake like this was in '64.. when the Mustang was introduced. Makes ya think, huh?

So anyway, as of my writing on this the Alaska Earthquake Center has reported a few more quakes:
