I was talking in my last post about how following a set diet can help alleviate the symptoms of jet lag when returning home from a vacation. I've read some good things online about how following a specified diet plan can help travelers to avoid jet lag, but I want to make sure that it is stressed to my readers that when I say dieting to reduce jet lag I do not mean you should go on a diet, I am saying you should eat a balanced diet of specifically spaced meals.
Things like diet pills might be great for someone that is trying to lose weight, but they are not part of what I am talking about when I am talking about a diet to prevent jet lag. Unlike a diet that you might go on for losing or gaining weight, you are not changing your dietary intake so much as you are changing your timing to better match the destination. There is a cycle to the diet, a series of feasting and fasting broken by a high protein breakfast the day you leave for your vacation.
