There are times when I think that I would be better off if I just packed everything up, including my dad, and moved out of the State. Then I get a message on my cell phone from a friend down South saying something like "Holy c**p!!! Its 109 degrees here!!!" and I look over at the thermometer that shows our outside temperature. I like 66 degrees much better.
I can't argue, however that I'll probably need to move one day. I intend to fight with everything I have to keep this place, but I know there is a good chance that everything I have won't be enough. I loathe moving, always have. In addition to having to pack, load the vehicles, and all that jazz, you also have to do a lot of things that most people don't consider.
You have to get all the utilities turned off at the place you are leaving, stop mail and newspaper deliveries, cancel any such things like maids or gardeners if you have them. Then you have to restart it all in the new location. It is such a headache.
One of the kewl things about the new TV systems like Direct TV is the ability to take your television service with you when you move, so that you have one less thing to worry about as you are moving. It's a shame that other companies don't take a hint and make things so easy.
Imagine if you could just move your trash service the way you can your television service! Or your newspaper delivery, maybe have your maids still providing you with maid service in your new location.
It would be nice if you could move to another state and still get the same service from utilities and stuff like you can with moving your Directv account. Say you want to move to Texas, you can just take it with you, so you can have the exact same Direct TV in Texas (although the local programming will, of course, be changed to the local programming of the area where you have moved to).
Just knowing that you will still get to watch the same programming, on the same channels, as you have got used to is one less hassle. Allowing you to kick back in your new home after a move and easily find your favorite channels rather than needing to relearn an entirely new system in order to find what you want to watch.
