Holidays have never felt colder
As the winter wraps itself tighter about the land, I find that the winter has never felt so cold. It is both a physical and psychological coldness. The temperatures have been in the range of -18 F at night, or colder, but it has a general feeling of spiritual coldness about the holidays as I move toward celebrating the first holiday without my parents and what is in all likelihood going to be the last holiday I spend in my parent's house.
