After years and years of wanting to get one, I have finally got an embroidery machine. Picked up a Singer Quantum Futura CE-200 the other day and have been learning how to use it to do embroidery on shirts and to make patches.
As much as I love the Futura, I want to eventually get a machine that will allow me to work on heavier weight materials as well so I can do embroidery work on canvas and other heavy materials for creating embroidered backpacks, ATV bags, jackets even tents.

Good luck , I have a Barudan I love that machine. Jackets are tough to hoop and canvas. You will need to invest in a good Hoop.
