Lots of sewing going on

I've been busy for a while now. On Friday my brother got a huge (88"x88") down comforter into his store that required quilting work. It already had a satin front and back material sewn onto it around all four sides, but the guy that owns it wanted the thing to have quilting done in the middle so it would be able to be washed without the down feathers all ending up bunched in the center of the comforter.

I had to empty the sewing room, the comforter was nearly as large as the sewing room's floor space, but once it was empty I took the comforter, and the instructions on the desired pattern, and sat down very late Friday night on the floor of my sewing room and started to work sorting out how best to get the thing sewn.

It was requested to be a fast turnaround, but given the nature of the quilt (and mats of down feathers in some parts of it that could not be un-matted), I was unable to machine sew it. That left hand sewing as the only viable option. I managed to have it all basted by Sunday night and tried to have the quilting part done Tuesday morning, but ended up finishing it on Wednesday morning.
