Rep.Anthony Weiner has appologized for lying

Last week, Representative Anthony Weiner, the Congressman for New York's 9th District, was telling news agencies that his account on the social networking site Twitter was hacked by someone that sent a lewd picture to a college student.

Today, Weiner confessed to having lied about the incident and admitted to having not only sent the picture himself, but to having used e-mail, Facebook and Twitter to engage in inappropriate conversations with at least six women over the past three years - both before and after he was married.

In his apology for having lied about the hacking incident, Weiner stated that the picture had been uploaded as a 'joke' and then was removed by him out of concern that he would be caught and was ashamed of what he had done.

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi plans to call for an Ethics Committee investigation, which Weiner has indicated he will cooperate with. The investigation will be to determine if Weiner used any official resourced in his inappropriate behavior - he stated that he does not believe he used any government resources.

For more details on Weiner's confession of having lied about the picture, and a video of his press conference, see CNN - Weiner apologizes on the CNN website.

My question to my readers is - do you think that Rep. Weiner should resign?
