Return to College

I'm thinking, very seriously, about going back to college. My one stumbling block might be that I think I might be too late to get in on getting student loans or grants for this semester. That would be a serious bummer if I was, because there is no way I can swing college all on my own, but I need to get some kind of employable skills so I can start working my way toward actually retiring one day rather than spend all of my time trying to figure out how I can keep making ends meet. Right now my savings toward retirement are nowhere near what I want them to be each month. I have to get a better paying job, so... go back to school? Get a college degree? We'll see how it goes.
