Destructo-Cat strikes again

Woke up this morning to find that, at some point in the night, the cats had helped themselves to the two bags of popcorn I bought last night. One to eat, the second to string for the holiday tree. One bag made it through relatively intact, only had holes torn in it, but not much spillage. The second bag was half empty and the missing popcorn from it lay strewn across the floor like someone had thought it was a pinata.

I saved what was savable of the popcorn that had made it semi-safely through the late evening attack. Then sorted out the still usable remains on the floor to be set aside to string the tree with.

I'm not sure what to do with destructo-cat, since I feel bad penning her up. Anything like that I forget on the counter, though, she'll see what it is by morning. She got a half a bag of egg noodles a little over a week ago. Now the popcorn. Need to figure out how to keep the cat out of the kitchen without locking them up.
