Odds Breakers: social network for sports enthusiasts

Launched in December of 2005, Oddsbreakers.com is a social network for sports enthusiasts that allows members to post, share, buy and sell sports picks. Members can even win monthly and seasonal cash and prizes. Tracked on their win/loss percentage, members can win cash and prizes based on their rankings. You'll need to check out the rules and how it works sections of Odds Breakers to find out more about how the website works, but this looks to me like it would be a great diversion for anyone with a serious interest in sport. Which I don't have so I am sorry, but I can't exactly explain how the site works to you, what I can tell you is that you are given a set number of sports picks each week, 5 per sport for a total of 10 picks, and you start out with 300 points to use in those picks.

Say you make some picks for football. The better your football picks are the more points you get back, and when others buy in on your picks, you can get paid when your picks turn out to be good ones. Football is not the only sport you can pick in, however, like I said, you get two picks for each of five sports every week, so maybe you do okay in your football picks and better in baseball, hockey or basketball picks. There is a lot more information on the Odds Breakers website, including information on the contests and how to make picks, so if you are a sports enthusiast check out their site at any of the links above.

Note: Odds Breakers is strictly for entertainment purposes

NOTICE: I love trying to make this a good travel journal and while I know I fall short of my dream, I also spend a LOT of time pondering and rereading comments to see if I should post or delete as robot SPAM. So... a few rules on the comments.

I want anyone, not only Blogger members or Open ID members to be able to comment, however... Please sign your comment, if you do not it will not be published. Anonymous comments help no one and are unreliable.

Also, if you have a strong enough opinion to post a comment, please take time and make it informative - if you had a good time somewhere detail what you mean, don't just say "This place was great!!! Loved the buffet!", and if you had a lousy time please detail it, don't just say "This place sucked and the pool smelled! Ruined my vacation!" I want to feel as if you really were there when I read your comments.

If you have a website or blog where you detailed your experience it is even better, include a link to your website or blog - just make sure it is not to a SPAM site made to endorse/defame a location, because I will delete any that do not strike me as being legitimate personal sites.

Thank you for your help in making it easier for me to know what is robotic SPAM and what are real personal reviews.
