My mom is perhaps the most likely to be a techno wiz, and yet the least technologically inclined person I know. I guess the reason for this is because she was there when my dad was learning to program his first computer. My dad was captivated by computers from the first time he saw one, and his obsession I guess turned my mom away from the things to the point that today, when the World Wide Web that my dad helped to make possible is everywhere, my mom does not know how to turn a computer on. Still, I have plans to get her at least a little techno savvy and one of those plans involves getting her a digital picture frame. She has always complained that out of all the digital cameras that she has bought for people, she has never got to see even one picture. So, I will be getting her a digital photo frame for Christmas to make it easy for her to see the pictures that everyone keeps taking but she never gets to see.
I loved the idea of digital frames the first time I heard about them, and the digital frames at Digital Framez are just what I have been looking for and priced to a level that I can afford to get my mom a great frame for Christmas. The one that has my attention, although not their least expensive one, is the 8.4" LCD with the wood frame. It includes a remote and lets you upload audio and video so I could make my mom a lovely slide-show presentation of pictures and videos that she can put on her dresser and enjoy all the time. Teaching her to use the remote will be a task, took months to get her used to using the TV remote, but I think she'll fall in love with the thing.
