Is my OOAK figure a Neanderthal?

Here's my little fellow. As you can see his rebuilt face gave him more of a young Neanderthal look, so I am thinking I will go with that as a theme for him - a young Neanderthal who found a interesting item to contemplate.

I think he'll look nice sitting on my book shelf. Maybe he was taken in by a wizard and found the wizard's crystal ball?

I need to get out my books on the Neanderthals and do some research, modify the slope on the head and facial structure some then create clothing for him that would match the Neanderthal attire.
