I've been having trouble with the puppies now that they are getting to be close to their full size. The fence that I had installed in the front yard is not tall enough to keep them in the yard when they want to get out to investigate what the neighbor dogs are doing running around out there. Cheyenne in particular can just sail right over the fence, Bear has to work at it a little, but he can get over it behind her once she's out.
What I need to do, and before the snow gets here, is to install a new fence that is too tall for Cheyenne to get over. I don't exactly have the time or money for fence installation, but I prefer not to have the dogs end up caught and hauled off to the pound where it would cost me close to $200 each to get them back.
So, I guess one of my tasks for September is to get out there and install a good fence that the puppies can't get over. I want to fence in as much of the yard as I can, give them a good large area to run and play in, so I expect it'll cost me $400 in materials, but that's better than having to pay the $400 just to get them back. At least this way I get something out of the expense, right?
