The Tok Cutoff is where the Glenn Highway meets the Alaska Highway at the town of Tok. From here you have two options, you can take a right and head for the Alaska / Canada border, or you can take a left and head for Fairbanks. It is very very tempting for me to head to the left at this point, since I have never been over that route. I have traveled from Wasilla to Fairbanks, but I have never been along the stretch of road between Tok and Fairbanks before.
For the time being I think my choice would be to stick with my plan and turn right, head for the border and the lower 48.
