Hard bed made better

My dad has one of those hospital bed deals that makes it hard to get a decent night's sleep. It has a plastic covering on the mattress so that the entire mattress is just a hard rock to try to sleep on. A few weeks ago I got him a few mattress cover things like an egg crate mattress with a memory foam topper on it and some allergy bedding like mattress cover and sheets, even a new pillow for my dad's bed. It has made it much more comfortable for him to get a good night's sleep. After a couple of weeks he has spent more time just laying in bed to listen to his radio and not growling that the bed is too uncomfortable to sleep in.
