Are you odd? Or even?

Okay, as I am working to resize a pair of The Force slacks for a local policewoman I have come across something interesting about the sizing of pants. According to something I found on Squidoo, the odd or even sizing is based on if the pants are "Juniors" or "Misses". Apparently the odd size if for junior sizes, and have a smaller hip than the even numbers that are intended for misses.

I need to confirm that information, but that's what the sizing information I just found says about it.
