My trees are yellow

I look out the window here and the leaves on the trees out in the yard are... yellow. It is a disheartening sight, the poor trees struggling to hold onto the last of their green leaves, but that is how it is. They have turned all but completely yellow in what seems to be an almost overnight event.

I yearn for the start of the year once again, when the leaves were just starting to go to bud, when the flowers were not yet in bloom and when there was time to get out and enjoy the summer months. Summer has just gone by far too fast.
