KARE 11 news ran a spot on July 10th that should be a warning to anyone thinking about using weed killer to make their lawn better. You can find the video and article on the station's website: Backyard fundraiser canceled after lawn mistakenly killed.
The fundraiser was an annual event the family used to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but after Mr. Olson purchased several bottles of what he thought was weed killer to help get the lawn ready for the event. Instead, the bottles were a combination killer for weeds and grass. One that left the lawn unable to grow grass, via either reseeding or sodding, for six months.
